The situations with sliding asphalt involve, in most cases, a possible risk for the vehicle passengers. In particular, it is in snow and ice conditions where vehicles behaviour is more unpredictable.
A tyre on a soft and sliding surface, such as sand, mud, snow or ice, loses significantly its grip properties. For this reason, systems are needed to change this situation and allow driving the vehicle.

Textile AUTO TRACK tyre chains do not cause vibration on steering nor tyres, minimising driving inconveniences. This also helps tyres, steering, and the damping system avoid the slightest harm.
They take up a minimum space between the tyre and the bodywork, so as to decrease the risk of touching some other element, such as an electronic safety device, ABS, EPS, brake hoses, joints, dampers
AUTO TRACK textile tyre chains work with high-tenacity threads, which allow us to improve the product durability, avoiding its breakage in incidental conditions when used on asphalt with no snow (remember: You must always respect the terms of use).
In sliding asphalt conditions, the aim is bringing the grip properties back to the tyre. This aim can be achieved in several ways:
metallic chains and spikes spider, their function is covering the tyre to avoid making the wheel run on the snow. They let the chain settle on the ground so the tyre can make traction. The chain nails the snow, cutting it and looking for the hard support of the bottom.
AUTO TRACK textile tyre chains also cover the tyre, but their function is explained by a tribologic system, defined by three variables:
O Upper surface.
O Lubricant.
O Lower surface.
In snowy or icy roads, the upper surface would be the AUTO TRACK covered tyre, the lubricant is the water film formed by snow or ice fusion due to the friction, and the lower surface is the snow or ice layer of the road. Depending on the amount of lubricant between both layers, we would talk of dry or wet friction. The drier the friction is, better the vehicle stability and smaller the braking distance will be. AUTO TRACK increases to the maximum the existent dry-friction area.
This is achieved thanks to both its fabric composition and its structure.

Reduce the amount of lubricant between the parts in contact, which increases the grip.
AUTO TRACK textile tyre chains are made to improve the already existent products, and to avoid the harming consequences on the tyre and different parts of the vehicle that can sometimes take place.
